We tell you honestly. Surface rot on joist ends can often be sistered with a new member. If the rot is throughout, that is a bigger structural conversation.
How do I know if my ladder needs fixing or full replacement?
If the hinge point is solid but the ladder just needs re-bolting, we fix it. If the tube itself is cracked or rusted paper-thin, we replace it.
